Set the targets
A goal in, a full macro plan out.
Choose maintenance, a cut, or a lean gain and Trainnode fills in calories, protein, carbs, and fat using each goal’s protein-per-kg, fat-per-kg, and calorie settings. Keep separate training-day, rest-day, and default plans, fine-tune any value by hand, and add coach notes — everything reaches the client app instantly.
Recalculates from Eva’s latest weight 67.8 kg and 4 sessions/week — split per training and rest day.
Built from real data
Numbers that keep up with the client.
Targets are calculated with the Mifflin–St Jeor formula from the client’s weight, height, age, and sex, scaled by how much they actually train. Weight and body fat flow in from tracked metrics — synced read-only from Apple Health or logged by hand — and recent sessions set the activity level, so the plan moves with the client instead of going stale.
Weight, steps, sleep & heart rate sync automatically. Read-only — Trainnode never writes back.
Frequently asked questions
- How are the macro targets calculated?
- Trainnode estimates the client’s daily energy needs with the Mifflin–St Jeor equation from their weight, height, age, and sex, then scales it by an activity multiplier based on how often they train. Your selected goal sets protein-per-kg, fat-per-kg, and the calorie multiplier, and carbs fill the remaining calories.
- Can I set different targets for training and rest days?
- Yes. Each client can have separate training-day, rest-day, and default plans. Build one and duplicate it to the next as a starting point, then adjust — clients see the right targets for the kind of day they’re having.
- Can I override the calculated numbers?
- Always. Every value — calories, protein, carbs, and fat, plus the per-kg and multiplier inputs — is editable. Enter a manual calorie target or type the macros in directly, and add coach notes for anything the numbers don’t capture.
- Where do the weight and body-fat numbers come from?
- From the client’s tracked metrics. On iPhone, weight and body fat can sync read-only from Apple Health; otherwise the client or coach logs them. As those metrics update, the targets recalculate from the latest values.
- Do clients see their macro targets?
- Yes. Saved targets and any coach notes sync to the client’s mobile app, and the client’s recently logged intake appears next to the plan on your dashboard so you can see adherence at a glance.
