Track anything

From bodyweight to body fat to whatever you measure.

Start from a library of common metrics or build your own with the name, unit, and decimal precision you want. Record body fat from skinfold calipers — 3, 4, or 7 sites — and Trainnode does the calculation for you. You or the client can enter values, and survey answers can flow straight into a metric too.

Health beside training

Read recovery and body change against the work.

Every metric charts over time so a trend is obvious at a glance — and it sits right next to training volume and estimated 1RM. When bodyweight holds while strength climbs and sleep improves, the story tells itself.

Frequently asked questions

What does Apple Health sync, and which direction?
On iPhone, Trainnode reads metrics like weight, body fat, steps, sleep, resting heart rate, and more from Apple Health — read-only. It never writes anything back to Apple Health. Data syncs automatically when the client opens the app, and you can sync manually any time.
Is Apple Health required?
No. Apple Health just saves typing on iPhone. Any metric can be entered by hand by the client or the coach, and entries are labelled by source so you can always see where a number came from.
Does it work on Android?
Apple Health sync is iPhone-only, since it relies on Apple’s HealthKit. Android clients (and anyone) can still track every metric manually, and Apple Health users on your roster sync automatically.
Can I create metrics that aren’t in the list?
Yes. Build a custom metric with any name and choose its unit type — weight, length, percentage, number, or time — plus the decimal precision you need. It then tracks and charts exactly like the built-in metrics.
