How to create a custom exercise

Add your own exercise to the Trainnode library with muscle groups, instructions, a tracking type, and a demo video.

Trainnode ships with a large exercise library, but you can add your own movements — variations, machine-specific lifts, or studio favourites — so they show up everywhere you build workouts.

    Open the exercise library

    Go to Exercises in the sidebar and choose New exercise.

    Fill in the details

    Give the exercise a clear name, then set:

    • Muscle groups — so it's filterable and feeds strength-ratio analysis.
    • Tracking type — weight & reps, time, distance, or bodyweight.
    • Instructions and any synonyms clients might search for.

    Add a demo video (optional)

    Upload a demo video or paste a YouTube link so clients see correct form inside the workout. Save, and the exercise is ready to drop into any program.
