Goals

Set the goal once. Trainnode tracks the rest.

Give every client a clear target — a lift, a bodyweight, a weekly training habit — with a deadline. Progress updates itself from the workouts they log and the metrics they record, so the goal is always live, never stale.

Set the target

Strength PRs, body metrics, or training habits.

Pick a target type and Trainnode knows how to track it: an exercise PR like a 1RM or top set, a metric like bodyweight, or a weekly workout-frequency habit. Set the target value, unit, and deadline against a starting baseline, and break a big goal into sub-goals that roll up automatically.

Tracks itself

Progress straight from the data you already collect.

There’s no separate progress to update. PR goals read from logged sets and tested 1RMs, metric goals follow the client’s latest measurement, and frequency goals count completed sessions each week — each shown as a live percentage. Custom goals let you log progress by hand when there’s no data to read.

Bench 1RM is up 12 kg with bodyweight holding at 68 kg and sleep climbing — Eva's gains are lean and recovery is solid. Good week to push intensity.

Frequently asked questions

How is goal progress calculated?
Automatically. For strength goals Trainnode reads logged sets and tested 1RMs, metric goals follow the latest measurement, and frequency goals count completed sessions — then shows progress as a percentage toward the target.
Can goals have a deadline?
Yes. Each goal can carry a target date alongside its target value, so you and the client can see whether they’re on pace.
Do clients see their goals?
Yes. Goals appear in the client’s mobile app and update live as they train and log metrics, while you track the whole roster from the dashboard.
What if a goal can’t be tracked automatically?
Use a custom goal. It works like the others but lets you record progress by hand — useful for targets that don’t map to a metric or a lift.
